Yoonu Jamm terms of use

This text applies to the Yoonu Jamm app, for worshippers' daily practice.

In short

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Yoonu Jamm app and of the online services it calls. The app is published by Nicolas Geslain, a private individual acting in a non-professional capacity (the "publisher").

They complement the end-user licence agreement (yoonujamm.app/eula), which prevails for the licence of the software. Your data is processed as described in the privacy policy (yoonujamm.app/privacy).

2. A free service, with no account

3. What the app gives you

4. Your location

When you allow it, the phone gives your location to the app. It is used to calculate prayer times, the Qibla direction and the distance to mosques, on the phone. It is never sent to our server as is. The mosque search and calendar places send a location rounded to within 2 km, and the mosque map loads its background from OpenStreetMap, as detailed in the privacy policy. Without permission, the app shows the prayer times for Dakar.

5. Religious content

6. Mosques and places

The map and the list of mosques come from OpenStreetMap, a free map kept up by its contributors. It may be incomplete or inaccurate. For directions, the app opens the phone's maps app, which applies its own rules.

7. Proper use

You agree to use the app for your personal use, in compliance with the law and the rights of others, and not to query its online services by a program or in an abusive way. When you share a verse or a hadith, keep its reference.

8. Availability and liability

The app and its online services are provided free of charge, as is: they may be interrupted, changed or closed. The publisher's liability is governed by the licence agreement (yoonujamm.app/eula), without depriving you of the rights that the law of your country of residence grants you and that no contract may override.

9. Changes

Each version of these terms carries a number. When its substance changes, the app asks you to accept the new version at the next launch.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Senegalese law. Before any action, write to [email protected]: the publisher will seek an amicable solution with you within 30 days. Failing that, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dakar (Senegal). If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country's law.

Version 4 of 16 October 2026. Versions 1 to 3, published at this address until 16 October 2026, covered the directory of Oustaz and Imams, which is no longer part of Yoonu Jamm.
